Based on a safe travel environment, he expressed his ambition to restore the domestic tourism market to the pre-COVID-19 level by the end of next year and attract 25 million foreign tourists by 2025.

In addition, in order to help the tourism industry recover, the tourism fund loan in 2022 will be expanded to 649 billion won, and support such as a grace period for principal repayment and reduction of financial costs will be strengthened.

It will create a safe tourism environment by continuing to carry out safety travel campaigns, strengthening quarantine management of tourist attractions, and inducing distribution of tourists. 

It also speeds up the development of new content. The 4,500-kilometer ultra-long walking trail "Korea Dulle-gil" connected along the edge of Korea will be built, and the "West Haerang-gil (West Coast)" will be built in March 2022 and the "DMZ" Peace Road will be completed in December next year. 

Travelers will hold a large number of tourism-related fairs such as the month of travel, domestic travel fairs, and Wellness Festa to create a tourism-friendly atmosphere, and continue to boost consumption of the 2022 Korea Grand Sale (January 13-28).

In addition, it will support digital transformation of tourism companies such as travel and MICE, foster technology-converged tourism companies, expand six regional tourism business centers next year, support travel agency sharing offices in 10 regions, and upgrade tourism interpretation information 1,30.
