Construct KINTEX's "MICE Triangle"
KINTEX
announced on the 21st that it will form a consortium with companies such as
Hana Financial Investment, Hyundai Industrial Development, and Hanwha
Engineering & Construction to participate in a public offering project to
build MICE facilities in Jamsil, Seoul. If participation in the project is
confirmed, KINTEX predicts that it will be able to build a "My Triangle"
connecting Gyeonggi-do and Seoul based on winning the right to operate the
Indian International Exhibition and Convention Center, which is being built in
New Delhi, India, in 2018.
KINTEX
expects that through this, Gyeonggi-do, Seoul, and even the Republic of Korea
will be able to establish an organic cooperative relationship with India, which
is comparable to China in terms of population size.
According
to KINTEX, India is one of the world's largest markets with 1.3 billion people,
with exhibitions before the spread of COVID-19 continuing to grow at an annual
average of 12% and convention events at an annual average of more than 15%.
In
addition, KINTEX has entered into a partnership to jointly develop new
businesses with major exhibition and convention organizers in Europe and the
Americas, such as 'informa Markets' in the UK, the world's largest exhibition
organizer, and 'MCI Group' in Switzerland, the largest convention organizer.
