COEX, "Make it a global business base"

COEX will take on a challenge to make a leap forward after the post-COVID-19. It will challenge to participate in the development and operation of sports and MICE complex spaces in Jamsil International Exchange Complex, Seoul, a domestic infrastructure development project in the fields of MICE (Corporate Conference, Reward Tourism, Convention, and Exhibition). COEX plans to participate as an operating investment company in the project as a member of the Korea International Trade Association consortium.

MICE Industry is a new growth engine industry with high added value. This is because the ripple effect on trade promotion and economy is high.

COEX holds 10 exhibitions and trade consultations here, including distribution technology and franchise shows, coffee expos, baby & kids fair, consumer goods, machinery industry exhibitions, and smart power energy warfare, serving as a trading advance base for Korean companies such as Vietnam and Indonesia. It is the largest Korean exhibition organizer (PCO).

The Korea International Trade Association and COEX will foster and discover world-class brand exhibitions. In addition, the company plans to expand exhibition contents and increase competitiveness by utilizing hybrid exhibitions combined with online technology, online business consultations, and augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies to maximize the performance of companies and buyers.

An official from COEX said, "We planned and prepared to operate Jamsil MICE from 2016 and received a commitment for business cooperation related to Jamsil MICE from the world's top exhibition companies such as RX, Mecefrankfurt, ITE, and Comex Forum."
