COEX, "Make it a global business base"
COEX
will take on a challenge to make a leap forward after the post-COVID-19. It
will challenge to participate in the development and operation of sports and
MICE complex spaces in Jamsil International Exchange Complex, Seoul, a domestic
infrastructure development project in the fields of MICE (Corporate Conference,
Reward Tourism, Convention, and Exhibition). COEX plans to participate as an
operating investment company in the project as a member of the Korea
International Trade Association consortium.
MICE
Industry is a new growth engine industry with high added value. This is because
the ripple effect on trade promotion and economy is high.
COEX
holds 10 exhibitions and trade consultations here, including distribution
technology and franchise shows, coffee expos, baby & kids fair, consumer
goods, machinery industry exhibitions, and smart power energy warfare, serving
as a trading advance base for Korean companies such as Vietnam and Indonesia.
It is the largest Korean exhibition organizer (PCO).
The
Korea International Trade Association and COEX will foster and discover
world-class brand exhibitions. In addition, the company plans to expand
exhibition contents and increase competitiveness by utilizing hybrid
exhibitions combined with online technology, online business consultations, and
augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies to maximize the
performance of companies and buyers.
An
official from COEX said, "We planned and prepared to operate Jamsil MICE
from 2016 and received a commitment for business cooperation related to Jamsil
MICE from the world's top exhibition companies such as RX, Mecefrankfurt, ITE,
and Comex Forum."
