‘Smart Factory Automation Industry Exhibition 2021’ to introduce a new smart manufacturing industry

The Smart Factory and Automation Industry Exhibition 2021, an exhibition specializing in smart factory and industrial automation, was successfully completed on the scale of the entire COEX building while protecting safety prevention despite the COVID-19 situation.

The event, which was held at COEX A, B, C, and D halls for three days from the 8th, consisted of the 31st International Factory Automation Exhibition, the 6th Smart Factory Expo, and the 9th Korea Machine Vision Industrial Association, with 1,800 booths for 500 companies.

Amid the COVID-19 situation, 27,007 buyers visited the event, receiving favorable responses from the industry about smart manufacturing technology, and purchase consultations between smart manufacturing companies and buyers were held. In addition, side events such as a non-face-to-face export consultation meeting and a summit where small and medium-sized companies can explore win-win plans were held to present a new way for the smart manufacturing industry.

In particular, at the 'SF+AW CEO Summit 2021' held for the first time at the theme hall on the 8th, 37 representatives of domestic supply solutions including automation, smart factory SW, robots, and sensors and machine vision gathered to expand the domestic demand ecosystem, centered on the private sector. Along with the direction, we looked for ways to cooperate between automation companies and smart factory ICT companies.

69 Korean companies participated in the "Non-face-to-face video export consultation" on the 8th to consult with 26 promising buyers from 10 countries, including Japan and Singapore, with 83 consultations worth $22 million and $2.57 million in contract progress. At the KOTRA consultation meeting, which lasted from the 9th to the 10th, 36 consultations, $9.75 million in consultation and $3.2 million in contract promotion were achieved.
