KES 2021, 400 future convergence technology companies are shown High technologies

A place has been set up to showcase the present of innovative technologies in the electronics and IT fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), metabus, and big data, and the future in which these technologies converge with other industries.

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Electronics Information and Communication Industry Promotion Association, the "KES 2021" opened at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul on the 26th. KES, which had been reduced in size due to COVID-19 last year, was held again this year at the pre-COVID-19 level for the first time in two years.

This year's KES theme is CONNECTED BEYONDELECTRONICS. Through digital technologies such as AI, IoT, and big data, it was mainly seen to create new businesses using future science and technology.

KES was reduced in size last year due to COVID-19, and only 191 companies participated, but this year, more than 400 companies participated again, returning to the pre-COVID-19 level. Along with offline exhibitions, online exhibitions will also be held. It operates an online exhibition hall called "openKES" to support domestic and international market development and digital-based online marketing for KES participating companies. 160 companies entered the online exhibition hall.

It has also set up a place to preview technologies to participate in the CES, which is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas in January next year. Through the "Preview CES" exhibition, 14 small and medium-sized companies scheduled to participate in the CES next year will display their actual entries in advance.

Major products include mask-attached air purifiers, Korea's first wireless steam cleaner, and wearable barcode scanners. In particular, Lotte Hi-Mart product planners and venture investors (VC) were invited to the exhibition to support marketing and investment counseling.

In line with Korea's largest electronic exhibition, Smart Biz Expo (Smart Factory), Metabus Korea, and Innovation Industry Exhibition (Fusion Small Electronics) were also held. It also operated various corporate support programs such as overseas buyer counseling sessions (36 companies), domestic purchase counseling sessions (50 companies), and smart store live commerce (6 companies).
