2021 Jeju Café Star (2021 JEJU CAFESTA) will be held at the Jeju International Convention Center for four days from June 3 (Thursday) to 6 (Sunday), 2021. Jeju Cafe Star, the only cafe industry-related fair in Jeju Island, marks its fifth anniversary this year. A variety of companies encompassing the cafe industry, including coffee, tea, coffee beans/rich materials, desserts, and cafe start-up consulting, participated and operated an industrial exhibition booth. Visitors were able to meet the changing cafe industry trend and cafe culture in one place at Jeju Cafe Star.
This year, as the prolonged COVID-19 led to coffee trends such as "home-stay" and "home cafes," various home cafe supplies such as coffee beans, drip bags, coffee hand grinder, and traditional tea were also available everywhere. In addition, Jeju Cafe Star's unique cafe tour program "Yomangjin Cafe Tour" has switched to a non-face-to-face online program to provide new Jeju travel video content to Jeju residents and tourists visiting Jeju.
In addition, a stamp tour using mobile apps was held for more than 100 cafes selected by Jeju Cafe Star, and visitors were welcomed with various programs such as business counseling sessions and drip coffee programs for cafe prospective founders/café owners and hotel/resorts officials in Jeju Island.
The final round of the 2020 COMPAK & ROCKET ESPESSO THROWDOWN (2020), a blind competition for espresso extraction that can confirm the true side of the pro barista, was also held for two days from June 4 (Friday) to 5 (Saturday).
