The 2021 Seoul Mobility Show, which will be held at Hall 9 and 10 of KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, will involve 100 companies and institutions from six countries around the world in areas such as finished car brands, parts, and mobility.

According to "Alix Partners," the proportion of electric vehicles in the automobile market is expected to exceed 35% in major markets such as the U.S., Europe, and China by 2030 and 31% in the world. According to some research institutes, the global market size is expected to grow 13% annually after 2023.

He added, "The mobility industry will expand from the automobile center to UAM, robots, and drones, and the popularization of mobility as a service will also be strengthened."

As the paradigm of the automobile industry changes, the chairman of the organizing committee argues that the change in the Seoul Mobility Show is inevitable.

The Seoul Mobility Show will be reborn to promote technological innovation in the industrial ecosystem, he said. "We will shift from internal combustion locomotives to various mobility, from B2C to B2B, and from finished cars."

The government will support R&D of 400 billion won next year and continue to strengthen it in the future to secure core technologies for future vehicles such as electric vehicles, hydrogen vehicles, and autonomous driving technologies, he said.
