COEX Food Week 2021 (the 16th Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition), the nation's largest food fair held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul on the 24th, ended successfully on the 27th after a four-day exhibition and side events.

632 companies from eight countries participated in the COEX Food Week, operating 886 booths, and about 35,000 visitors visited. Under the theme of "Future Food: Embracing the Environment," COEX Food Week introduced changed standards for consumers' food choices and technological advances to think of a sustainable future after the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Among the three themes of COEX Food Week, there was a high interest in the "Smart Food Tech Show," which offers the latest technologies in the food industry, and alternative meat, eco-friendly packaging materials, indoor food cultivators, and insect food attracted attention.

The "Bread Bread Show" held various bakery events and held various bakery competitions for four days to add to the incidental enjoyment of the exhibition.

In addition, various lectures on future food will be held through the 2021 Korea Food Tech Conference, as well as conferences and seminars such as 2021 Future Food Chains Demo Day, 2021 Fresh Food Cold Chain Optimization Seminar, and 2021 Agricultural Food Excellent Technology Partnering.

As it is the first COEX Food Week held since the implementation of "With COVID-19," it has also made every effort to manage safety for the safety of visitors and participating companies. Basic management such as QR check-in and questionnaire preparation, wearing masks, checking body temperature, and disinfection, as well as complete prohibition of eating while maintaining tasting control personnel in the venue. Sampling and tasting were limited to the use of one table per person in a set space.
