Gwangju City held the 2021 Gwangju Future Food Exhibition at the Kim Dae Jung Convention Center for four days from November 4th. Gwangju City held the Gwangju Future Food Exhibition, which was not held last year due to COVID-19, as a safe exhibition this year by simultaneously applying the existing COVID-19 preemptive response and step-by-step government policy, including non-face-to-face access control, compliance with quarantine rules, and separate tasting spaces.

In addition, under the theme of the future of the food industry after COVID-19, a food exhibition was held to provide opportunities for local food companies to pioneer new markets and introduce future food and food trends to citizens.

There were 180 participating companies, and at 300 booths, various food-related items such as agricultural and livestock products, processed foods, organic foods, health foods, home snacks, eco-friendly food materials, local specialties, and food hygiene devices were introduced.

This year, in response to the climate crisis, Gwangju City and the Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Distribution Corporation signed a business agreement on "Korea Green Food Day," a campaign to improve greenhouse gas emissions, and cooperated with the future food industry to reduce greenhouse gases and neutralize carbon.

The exhibition will hold purchase consultations inviting buyers and distribution MDs from famous domestic distribution channels such as home shopping, department stores, and companies to provide opportunities to think about the possibility of industrialization and nationalization of local food companies.
