The 51st IFS franchise Seoul confirms its high interest in "unmanned start-ups."

The 2021 51st IFS Franchise Seoul Second Half, hosted by the Korea Franchise Industry Association (Chairman Jeong Hyun-sik, hereinafter referred to as the Association), co-hosted by Coex and Reed Exhibitions, closed successfully on the 16th with nearly 20,000 visitors for three days.

The fair, which was held at COEX C Hall with 450 booths from 260 brands, drew keen attention as prospective founders interested in the trend of franchise start-ups, which will become a trend ahead of "With COVID-19" (step-by-step easing).

Many prospective founders who visited the fair generally paid keen attention to booths that brought out unmanned start-up models regardless of industry. This is because it can reduce the burden of labor costs and management, which are considered challenges for self-employment, and in particular, the risk of face-to-face services can be reduced.

"Since COVID-19, preference for unmanned start-up models has increased significantly, and visitors to the fair have also paid keen attention," an association official said. "Considering that nearly 30% of all or part of unmanned brands participating in the fair, the trend of unmanned models will continue for the time being."

Meanwhile, the fair drew attention as it operated for the first time a "retail village," which consists of making it easier to see partners in one place, and an "IFS Business Matching Lounge," which connects buyers and partners in the franchise headquarters.
