"International Robot Exhibition" will showcase various robot industry technologies
The 2021 Robot World, a Korean robot festival, was held at KINTEX in Ilsan from October 27th to 31st.
The 2020 Robot World, which was held in October last year, was evaluated as revitalizing the robot industry, which had been dampened by COVID-19, by discovering new customers of participating companies and improving awareness at home and abroad. This year, Robot World also held various side events that could directly help the business of participating companies, such as export counseling sessions and purchase counseling sessions.
While Southeast Asian buyers such as Malaysia and Vietnam were dominant at last year's export consultation, more than 200 consultations were conducted this year, up about five times from last year, with buyers from more diverse countries such as East and West Asia, North America, Western Europe, and the Middle East participating. The spread of COVID-19 has limited overseas buyers' visits to Korea and solved the problem of product demonstration, which has been pointed out as the biggest drawback of online export consultations, through the introduction of an "online buyer tour program."
The two major international robot exhibitions in Korea held in the region were also held on a similar date in mid-November. In mid-November, the "10th Daegu International Robot Industry Exhibition" and the 2021 International IoT, Home Appliance, and Robot Fair" were held in Daegu and Gwangju.
The Daegu International Robot Industry Exhibition was held with 100 companies at 300 booths, and companies from various fields such as industrial robots, service robots, robot parts, drones, and robot SI participated. During the event, the Daegu Robot Festival, a one-on-one export consultation meeting invited by overseas buyers, the Daegu Global Robot Business Forum, and Robot People's Night were held.
The 10th Daegu International Robot Industry Exhibition was held at the EXCO Exhibition Hall from November 16th to 19th, hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and organized by EXCO. It was held at 350 companies with a size of 550 booths. Products such as intelligent home appliances, IoT, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, and drones, as well as robots such as industrial robots/educational robots/service robots, were exhibited.
