Bitgaram International Power Technology Expo 2021 (hereinafter referred to as BIXPO 2021), which introduces future technologies in the energy sector, was held at the Kim Dae Jung Convention Center for three days from November 10 (Wed) to 12 (Fri). BIXPO 2021, which marks its seventh anniversary, was held online and offline at the same time in consideration of the COVID-19 situation this year.
According to KEPCO on the 28th, this year's BIXPO 2021 was held under the theme of Carbon Neutrality, a major global interest, as an "International Comprehensive Energy Fair" that presents future new technologies and industrial directions in the energy sector such as renewable and efficiency.
248 companies, including Nokia, Dell, GE, Hyosung Heavy Industries, Hyundai Electric, KT, and SKT, will participate in this year's expo. Last year, 48,013 people registered despite the aftermath of COVID-19, 36 countries and 228 companies participated, and 104 conferences were held.
Small and medium-sized companies in transmission and distribution fields such as HVDC (ultra-high-pressure direct current) transmission technology, microgrid success stories, and electric vehicle charging new technology platforms will participate in the power grid tube.
The "Energy Platform Hall" offers database-based intelligent power engineering solutions and new power ICT technologies such as network security technologies.
In addition to the World Bank Energy Forum and KEPCO Electric Power Research Institute's announcement of R&D results, more than 60 conferences will also be able to examine carbon neutrality practices using new energy technologies such as carbon capture (CCUS), energy storage (ESS), and carbon-free power.
